Street Art by Herr von Bias in Berlin

Herr von Bias is a known street artist from Berlin. Middle of the 90th he got the first time into contact with graffiti. With the years his style formed and changed and made him the artist who he is today. Nevertheless he never planned to become a street artist, this arose solely.

His style is very detailed, a teamwork of form, colour, light and shade with a slope to the absurd one. To paint preferential means around his works he does not have. According to mood and also after weather he chooses between brush and spray cans. Inspierieren he lets himself from everywhere. Mostly, nevertheless, from the nature which offers a lot of inspiration by her forms, colours and the patterns of shade and light. Now for 17 years he already sprays graffiti. Since then he also develops constantly, changes from work to work. A process which will never end, as he admits.

Though the artist owns a sketch book, nevertheless, his ideas are mostly distributed about several different sheets, so that most of his works originate bit by bit. In his works artiste uses of the Street a lot of colours. He has got into the habit of taking always a big travel pocket with a number in different spray cans. Then he simply catches in to paint, until his internal voice admonishes him: These are enough colours!

Mr. von Bias is of the view that graffiti always mainstream was, nevertheless, developed about the years always. Because often property rights are injured by the graffiti, he also understands that this form of art not always becomes in the society aktzeptiert. Nevertheless, he observes with pleasure the style explosions which goes through the Street kind at the moment and enjoys to be a part of it.

For him it plays no role where he can paint and is allowed. If he likes the surroundings and he manages with his customers, everything is possible. Illustrations are his second passion. He is a freelance illustrator – and Graffikikünstler. He accepts also orders. Though he would make rather only for free graffiti, because, however, also he must live on something, he still works, besides, in a firm job.

Although he is with pleasure an artist, it sometimes hard falls to him something to paint or to outline. Then he withdraws. However, after some weeks is his head of the full ideas which he must bring then on Papaier and walls. Even if his style is defined, he does not exclude that he changes. Nevertheless, he is persuaded that his works make a sequential progress.

What would he advise a beginner? To act what he likes, do not permit that somebody interferes. Width turnips remain curious and always.
